Getting the lyrics is no problem but you are carrying the melody line in your head and want to transcribe it so that you can play it on your piano. Here are a few tips which will help you. –

• Take it easy! Don’t try to play the whole piece at once from beginning to end. Believe it or not this method makes it more difficult and slower to learn the new song. It is far better to break the melody down into smaller more manageable sections and concentrate on learning individual sections. Often the introduction to a song is easy; it is the middle sections which frequently require more work.
